Kelsay's K9 is dedicated to training dogs using pack leadership, body language, energy & lots of positive reinforcement.   Every dog is born with the instinctual knowledge of living in a pack environment and every pack has a pack leader.  Your dog knows there must be a leader so if you do not take that role, they will take it by default which often causes behavior problems.  We will teach you how to lead your pack, correct unwanted behaviors such as fear, phobias & aggression and provide general obedience including sit, down, stay, come & leave it.  Our dog training approach is to use what your dog already knows and combine that with techniques you can use to have a happy dog and a happy you!

We do not use harsh techniques such as yelling at or striking a dog, instead we teach you how to use your body language & energy to create the behaviors you want or prevent the ones you don’t want.  We do not require the use of special collars!  We will use what you’re comfortable with and will make suggestions on how to get the best performance…if what you’re currently using simply does not work, we recommend collars such as Gentle Leaders or No Slip, nylon collars.
